Dramatic rooms can be very welcoming and warm and inviting. This lovely home office has been painted black. Using wood tones for the bookcases, the desk and the framework of the gorgeous arch door really bring an element of richness to the room. Using a muted patterned rug does not compete but rather enhances the space. The accessories are purposeful yet minimal. A simple gold finish chandelier is perfect against the dark walls. The designer has deliberately kept this room serene and comforting in the design. It’s a fine line to walk using dark colored walls and keeping it warm and inviting. This has been achieved here very successfully.
